  colors for spring
so now that it's march, kate and I *had* to have another dyefest, apparently. she sneakily *needed* to dye yarn for clapotis... and, oh... had a hell of a lot more yarn than necessary for a scarf!! And I just happened to get a box containing this in the mail:

it looks pretty innocent, right? all bundled up, it was. after I sprung it free? it overpopulated my living room quickly with baby wool balls! (at 8.5 pounds, a pretty healthy weight!)

Anyhow, so yeah, lots of yarn at kate's house, and lots of wool at my house. what are two girls to do?
how about some of this?

here's a panoramic shot of the finished goods! (wow- it's zoomable!!)

Didn't manage to get pictures of Rogue, but.. well, it's a sweater in progress. unexciting. Exciting is that I am past the pocket! Woo! I've not ever made a pocket before, so yay! It hurts my hands soooo much though, and I am so off guage. I'm just starting to repeat rows at this point.. I need to come up with almost 2.5 inches, and a couple extra cables should about do it.

that was a lot of picture!

everything is drying in the house now. the last roving i did was deep bluey green and so pretty! only took how many tries to finally get something with no white on it? hmmm.

i'm not sure what to do about the clapotis now -- not sure why i thought it took sock weight. i think i'll just knit more rows and do it on a smaller gauge. i like the idea of using the thin yarn.
