finishing, and finishing socks (finally some knitting!)
I'm almost done with this Debbie Bliss baby cardigan I've been working on... only, I'm completely bored with it as I made another one in a different color just a few months ago, and hate the yarn. Boo. But it's almost done, and the baby is now 6 months old, and I'm really hoping I made the 9-12 month size! It's for a baby in Australia, and I imagine it's about sweater season. So soon... it'll get done.
I've also started a pair or Toe-up socks, in Koigu. I like the toe up idea. And the short rows, for both the toe and the heel. So I'm really hoping that I'll finish BOTH SOCKS this time. I don't know how many times I've started socks and decided that I hated them, so didn't finish. Or ripped back and got tired of the yarn. I'm kinda picky about the way the toes and heels look. at the moment, the toe looks weird to me, but on my foot, it seems normalish, so we'll see how far I get.

I recently started a pair of toe-up socks (my first toe-ups) using Wendy Johnson's toe-up pattern (of Wendyknits.net). I found her pattern easy to adjust for my very wide foot. Who knows, maybe these, too, will be finished someday...
This sock's also somewhat based on the wendy johnson sock.. got past the heel last night, and seems good to me. Might be a winner!
