beach knitting

This weekend we went to Assateague for some camping. It was remarkably bug free- mosquitoes weren't out yet, and the Eastern Shore is Cicada Free! :) It was, however, incredibly windy. Windy, as in, we emptied the contents of my car into the tent, and it still wanted to blow out to sea. Yikes. So yeah, didn't hang out at the camp site as much as we might have. I'm ashamed to admit it, but we actually went... outlet shopping! And to the Boardwalk in Ocean City. (It was just 10 miles away...)

While working on a lovely sunburn (confined to the 6 square inches of my neck that didn't get slathered in sunscreen), I worked on Anouk, from knitty. Think I might try for black-eyed susans (the MD state flower) instead of poppies, as it's for the daughter of some friends that moved away from MD.
