  is guage so important?
so my sleeve is whack. not that anyone would notice. not even me, really. the only thing that *might* be off in the end is the wrist part being a bit smaller... when I realized how tight I was knitting, I kept it up til after the cable part.. now I'm more relaxed, and the guage is way bigger. I think I was at like 5 st./inch at the worst of it.. now I'm maybe 4.25 or so? not bad. But getting the other sleeve to match is gonna suck!! Also, the row guage? It's over 7 rows per inch. so to get to 17 or so inches long, it's gonna take about 20 more rows! Eek! I am going to ignore all this for now. :) I'm up to row 75 on sleeve 1 though!

oh, and ignore that part of the cable (top right here) that isn't actually there.. no idea what happened there. musta been before I implemented my color code system!

In other news, k8 and I took a load of yarn to the Folk Art Studio in Bowie to consign. Our prices were a bit on the low side compared to some other handspun there.. (so buy it quick, before we're rich and famous! ;) w'll see how it goes.

Comments:
You DASTARDLY GIRL! You skipped ahead of me!!! I'm only on row 54, and SOMEHOW, I only have 54 stitches instead of 55. :( It appears I forgot an increase on the left side on row 42.

I have decided for sure that my gauge is right on now. 4.5/in. MY ROW gauge though, is much like yours. Somewhere between 7 and 8. This is going to make it anywhere between 3 and 5 inches shorter than it should be. I'm going to forward you some emails Jenna sent me last year about how to fix the hood and the sleeve caps/armhole shaping for 7 instead of 6 rows/in, but where do we add more rows to make the sleeve longer OVERALL? to increase the length of the sleeve by 4 inches, we need another 28 rows, at LEAST!

ps - looks good! Sorry I roped you into my bad yarn choice!!! I'm also starting to worry this stuff might PILL a lot.

Your Rogue is so pretty! What yarn is this?

I am gonna get over to Folk Art Studio and find your yarn... what is it called? Do you have a label on it? There are some knit bloggers that are going to meet on Presidents' Day over there... you are more than welcome to join us!

heh. i listed the webstore as an interest on my livejournal interests: http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=kismet09 just thought you should know.
